Relax on Kemala or Lamaru Beach in Balikpapan and visit Margomulyo Mangrove Forest.
Swim, dive or snorkel in the crystal clear Labuan Cermin Lake that has two type of water in it. Saltwater at the bottom never passes to the surface where the fresh water is. In the Mahakam River in East Kalimantan you can spot freshwater dolphin. In the early morning, take a "klotok" (traditional boat) and head to the floating market at the junction of the Kuin and Barito rivers or Lok Baintan Floating Market on the Tabuk Rover. You can also visit the city of Pontianak, which lies exactly on the equator or explore one of the gold or diamond mines.
