Top beaches in Vietnam
Vietnam boasts more than 3400km of coastline, with powdery sand, coves, lagoons, boulder formations and tropical islands. Nha Trang is recognised as Vietnam’s premier beach destination, with six kilometres of sand and rolling waves. An Bang, located 3km north of Cua Dai, is one of Vietnam’s most enjoyable beaches. Non Nuoc Beach is also beautiful but there’s a powerful undertow off this coast, so riptides are particularly dangerous. You can also choose Mui Ne Beach, with swaying palms and towering dunes.
Phu Quoc Island, fringed with white-sand beaches, is ideal for snorkelling. Located south of Phu Quoc, Mong Tay (Fingernail Island) is blessed with turquoise coastline, sandy beaches, crystal water and lines of coconut trees and coral reef. Con Dao Islands also offer idyllic beaches.
