In a few weeks, the biggest low-cost carrier in Asia, AirAsia, plans to resume regular international flights from Malaysia to a total of 12 different destinations in the continent.
After resuming some of its domestic services in late April, AirAsia plans to restart its international operation starting on June 10. According to Routesonline, these routes will connect Malaysia’s capital – Kuala Lumpur and Penang with India, Bangladesh, Vietnam Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore and Myanmar:
- Kuala Lumpur – Bangalore (India) – from June 17, 3 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Chennai (India) – from June 15, 4 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Dhaka (Bangladesh) – from June 15, 4 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) – once a day from June 10
- Kuala Lumpur – Jakarta (Indonesia) – once a day from June 10
- Kuala Lumpur – Manila (Philippines) – from June 15, 4 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Medan (Kualanamu Airport) (Indonesia) – from June 10 4 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Pekanbaru (Indonesia) – from June 11, 3 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Phnom Penh (Cambodia) – from June 11, 3 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Singapore – from June 13, 2 times a day
- Kuala Lumpur – Tiruchchirappalli (India) – from June 16, 3 times a week
- Kuala Lumpur – Yangon (Myanmar) – from June 12, 4 times a week
- Penang (Malaysia) – Medan (Kualanamu Airport) (Indonesia) – from June 11, 3 times a week
- Penang (Malaysia) – Singapore – from June, 13 once a day
