The oldest constructions of this mostly abandoned village have been built in the 17th century. The mud-brick “kasbahs” have been the decor for a range of movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones TV series. Near Ouarzazate, you can also visit the magnificent Dades Gorge, Skoura - the Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs - and the perfumed Valley of Roses.
