There is an extensive network of trails in the Teide National Park (Cañadas del Teide). Tenerife’s proximity to the equator makes it a perfect place for dazzling starscapes. You can also go hiking in the Anaga Mountains, located in the north-east part of the island. This rural park includes the areas of primary laurisilva, a previously widespread laurel forest type.
