What to do:
Find your way around Hong Kong with double-deck trams (Ding Ding), the most affordable, convenient and greenest public transport mode in the city.

In Tsim Sha Tsui district you can find the former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower, go to the Hong Kong Space Museum or the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Be sure to visit the Avenue of Stars that runs along the waterfront of Tsim Sha Tsui. It is similar to the Walk of Fame in Hollywood and it pays homage to some of Hong Kong’s best known film stars, such as Bruce Lee.

The waterfront promenade is a popular place for walking, jogging, and hanging out. It also makes a great spot to watch the Symphony of Light show across the harbour in the evenings.

Go to one of the famous street markets, buy some souvenirs and try local cuisine. Hong Kong is also a choice city for luxury shopping.

Watch horse-racing at Happy Valley Racecourse.

Take your kids to the Hong Kong Disneyland or the Ocean Park, which boasts the largest aquarium dome in the world. You can also visit Zoological and Botanical Garden.

Have a drink in the highest rooftop bar in Hong Kong, located on the 118th of floor Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Kowloon, which is even higher than the Empire State Building. The main nightlife area in Hong Kong is Lan Kwai Fong.

Go to Nan Lian Garden to see the Pavilion of Absolute Perfection, surrounded by hills, water features, trees, rocks and wooden structures. It is located in the opposite of the Chi Lin Nunnery, in the Diamond Hill.

A visit to Hong Kong can include wonderful beaches, great hikes, and ancient temples. Walk the Dragon’s Back Trail to enjoy the spectacular views out over the ocean, Big Wave Bay and Mount Collinson.

This vibrant cosmopolis, full of skyscrapers, sits side by side with traditional fishing villages. Tai O is home to the Tanka people who build their homes on stilts over tidal flats. They offer boat rides around this small village, after which you can sample some of the fresh seafood.

Visit one of the 263 outlying islands, like Lantau Island, Lamma Island, Peng Chau Island, Cheng Chau Island, and Ma Wan. You can set sail on a junk boat to an island and party along the way.

You can also attend the Chinese Lantern Festival, celebrated on the first Full Moon of the Lunar Year.
