Qatar Airways concluded yesterday the inaugural flight of the Doha-Auckland route with the duration of 16 hours and 23 minutes!

The Qatar based airline concluded it’s inaugural 15,534 km flight to Auckland, New Zealand in 16 hours and 23 minutes, surpassing Emirates flight from Dubai to the same destination as the world’s longest flight.

This route crosses 10 time zones, and uses a Boeing 777-200LR, with four pilots and a 15 people cabin crew, who serve around 1100 cups of coffee and tea, 2000 cold drinks and 1036 meals. The return trip can take up to one hour more because of prevailing headwinds!
