Let’s test Revolut, a card that changes the rules of the game.
Do you travel a lot and need a card that would solve problems with paying in different currencies? We have been using Revolut intensively for the last six months. Let’s check how to pay wisely and not fall into the trap of additional fees.
Revolut is an alternative to the big banks, without the hidden fees and with radically better technology. Is this a real revolution? To make a long story short, it’s a prepaid card linked to an app installed on your phone. You can top it up instantly with debit or credit card, or by making a classic bank transfer to your individual Revolut account. Using the real exchange rate, Revolut allows you spend abroad with no fees in different currencies.
It lets you receive bank transfers in multiple currencies and send free domestic and international transfers in 25 currencies using the real exchange rate. Thanks to Revolut, you can avoid ATM fees or losing money when exchanging currencies. You can also withdraw £200 for free from international ATMs each month. Exclusively for our readers, Revolut has prepared a special promotion. You can open your personal current account and order a virtual or a physical card for free in 60 seconds, wherever you are!
Pawel Kunz, Fly4free.pl editor, has been testing Revolut intensively for 6 months in many places around the world:
– The greatest advantage of Revolut? Card payments in foreign currency. I am in Italy right now and I need to pay €3 for a coffee and a croissant. I just log in to the app, go to the currency selection tab, enter €3 – and after a while I have €3 in my account, converted with the real exchange rate, without any spread and additional fees. I pull out my card, pay – and take my coffee. I can also use the Revolut card as a handy currency exchange. Whatever country you travel to, Revolut gives you access to a multi-currency bank account. It allows you to hold and exchange up to 25 currencies with the real exchange rate.
What currencies are supported?
You can top up your Revolut account with a debit or credit card in GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, CAD, CHF, CZK, DKK, HKD, HUF, NOK, PLN, RON, SEK, ILS, INR, JPY, MAD, NZD, QAR, RAN, SGD, THB, TRY and ZAR.
