A new route to Bucharest
Wizz Air today announced it will launch new service from London Gatwick to Bucharest.
Gatwick, a new airport for Wizz Air’s low-fares services, will be the company’s ninth airport in the United Kingdom along with London Luton, Doncaster-Sheffield, Bristol, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Belfast, Liverpool and Birmingham. From these nine U.K. airports, Wizz Air flies to 14 countries and now offers 76 routes.
The Hungarian carrier will provide new low-fare service from London Gatwick Airport to Bucharest beginning 18 June 2016. The newest connection to Bucharest will be the only direct connection between the two airports, offering the easiest access to the Romanian capital from the South London hub. With a total of four Wizz Air direct flights a day between London and Bucharest, the new route adds a second option for travel to Bucharest along with direct three-times-a-day flights from London Luton.
