The coast can also be enjoyed in a helicopter, and from the ocean by kayak and paddleboard. The high cliffs along the shoreline rise as much as 1200 m (4000 ft) above the Pacific Ocean. The extinct Waialeale volcano, the highest peak of the island, is one of the rainiest spots on earth.
