Western Australia boasts many secluded, white beaches. Shell Beach is one of only two beaches in the world made entirely of tiny shells. It's located within Shark Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In its waters you can find unique marine life, including dugongs, bottlenose dolphins and whales. In William Bay National Park you'll find Greens Pool, a beautiful beach, almost completely sheltered from the waves of the ocean. Coral Bay Beach has glorious white-sand and calm, clear turquoise water. Lucky Bay in Esperance is voted the whitest beach in Australia. It's known for pristine sand that squeaks as you walk. Salmon Bay on Rottnest Island is the longest beach on the south coast. This wild beautiful bay offers snorkelling areas. You can also swim in the turquoise waters of Hangover Bay.
