There are plenty of reasons to visit the Philippines! This amazing destination offers pretty much everything you need: the world class beaches, awesome conditions for water sports, stunning mountains and volcanoes, along with caves and rice terraces to explore.
Food
Philippine cuisine is heavily influenced by Spanish, as well as other traditions adapted to indigenous ingredients and the local palate. Dishes range from the very simple, like a ‘chicken (or pork) adobo’, marinated in a mixture of soya sauce and vinegar, to the elaborate paellas and cocidos. Expect plenty of fresh fish and addictive desserts. Don't forget to drink 'weng weng cocktail' and eat durian, the smelly king of fruits, in many Asian countries banned in hotels and on public transport.
One of the strangest and most famous street food snacks to try in the Philippines is balut - a developing duck embryo boiled or steamed and eaten from the shell with a splash of vinegar. The length of incubation before the fertilized bird egg is cooked is a matter of local preference, but generally ranges between 14 and 21 days. This traditional snack is a common street-food and is also sold in stores and malls.

Singapore, world’s only island city-state, the smallest country in Southeast Asia, is also a land of contrasts. It’s the perfect mix of culture, tasty food, extraordinary landmarks and unique architectural icons.
Gardens by the Bay
The Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares in central Singapore. Admire the Supertree Grove - the tree-like structures that dominate the Gardens' landscape with heights between 25 metres (82 ft) and 50 metres (160 ft). The park also features the Flower Dome, the world's largest glass greenhouse and the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. The Cloud Forest Dome replicates the cool moist conditions found in mountain regions in South-East Asia. Take the lift to the peak in the clouds to discover the unique plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000 metres above sea level.
